ART OF THE KILLER TAGLINE: October 2014

A UPS package arrived from Tru Vue. The company is known as a leader and innovator in the protection and conservation of all things framed and display. Visit their website and check out the products.
Drumroll.... the unpacking...

Here are all the items unpacked.

The pack includes the following:

1. A large swatch demo "Glazing Soecifier" for the different kinds of acrylic sheets offereed by Tru Vue. It includes the 8 swatches of acrylic sheets: Standard UV, Conservation Clear, Conservation Reflection Control, StaticShield, Optium, Optium Museum, Anti-Reflective Laminated and Optium Museum. It is an actual demo where an artwork can be placed at the back of the swatches for comparison. It shows the percentage of: Reflection, Light transmission, UV radiation, Abrasion resistance, Static charges, etc. This is an excellent demo kit because you could see the actual results of each product.

2. As seen in the above picture. These are the larger samples of acrylic sheets offered by Tru Vue. 8 pcs of 8x10 " (254x203mm) are inside the box. The sheets are covered on both sides with white plaster to avoid scratches. Labels on each of the sheets to identify each type of acrylic sheets. This is for a larger demo. Different thickness of the sheets by the way. I thought they all had the same thickness. I haven't peeled off the covers yet. Sticking with the smaller demo kits instead. Kudos to Tru Vue for being so generous in supplying kits to clients and costumers. I am not affiliated to this company. I just requested a sample kit from them. My husband and I are both artists and were very interested in their products. Too bad Tru Vue does not supply in the Philippines but they do have authorized suppliers in Asia! How good is that?! 3. This was my favorite demo kit! It includes:
-Take the test kit
-White full sized towel
-Small patch of wool
-Flyers
-Stickers
This kit shows 4 types of acrylic sheets with little styrofoam balls to demonstrate: Scratch test and Anti-static test. As seen in the picture below, No reflection can be seen on the Anti-Reflective glass and Optium! I had to tap on the glass to check if there was an acrylic sheet covering the styrofoam balls. The first sample (Standard) had styrofoam balls all over the glass! No matter how i shake the kit, no styrofoam balls stuck to the other 3 acrylic sheets. I tried to reflect some light on the samples and found out that the anti-reflective and optium had a kind of greenish reflection while the other two had the regular white reflection (I will try to post a pic of this-Dont know if you could see the green tint on the reflection). Again, This is an amazing demonstration of what this company has to offer.

Tru Vue products are used to showcase fine art paintings from Rembrandt to Mondriaan in Netherlands. Art pieces are best seen without those annoying reflections.
